AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani has paid tribute to patron Silvio Berlusconi over this season's squad investment.
The Rossoneri need only one point to be sure of the Scudetto after their 1-0 win over Bologna.
Galliani said: "Berlusconi decided to invest a lot of money. Milan could've started the season with Klaas-Jan Huntelaar and Marco Borriello, but the President was fantastic and his financial efforts have brought us to this stage.
"He also reiterated that commitment in January. We knew that we were targeting the Scudetto this season, which is why we bought Cassano, Van Bommel and Urby Emanuelson in January despite the fact they couldn't play in the Champions League."
