Galliani says AC Milan optimistic over Cassano recovery

AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani insists they're optimistic about Antonio Cassano's recovery.

Many reports have swirled around, including one that Cassano suffered a stroke, mainly due to the lack of official confirmation on the circumstances of this illness.

"The situation is evolving well and we are moderately optimistic," Milan Vice-President Galliani told Sky Sport Italia.

"Tomorrow there will be a joint clarifying statement from Milan and the clinic. What I do really want to tell the fans and people who care for Cassano is that he is well and is improving."
