AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani insists Palermo star Javier Pastore is not on their shopping list.
Galliani has reacted with surprise to the latest transfer speculation.
"Nobody has ever thought about Pastore," he claimed. "I don't know why this story has emerged.
"Before we start thinking about buying players, we firstly have to deal with the players whose contracts are expiring."
