Galliani insists AC Milan have plenty to look forward to

AC Milan chief Adriano Galliani insists fans have a lot to look forward to.

Milan were held by Genoa yesterday.

"If I look at the average age of the players, then we are at the start of an era, not at the end. Over the last three years we finished in front of Inter, while Fiorentina haven't been in the Champions League for years, but people only remember the most recent result," argued Galliani.

"I'd measure teams over a five-year period and Milan are the only team to have been in the Champions League for the last 11 years running. A bad season can happen - we hope it won't to us - but it happened with Juventus, Inter, Napoli and all the others. This is football."
