AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani is delighted with the impact Leonardo has had this season.

Milan went to Turin last night and thumped Juventus 3-0.

Galliani said: "I chose him with Mr Berlusconi. To me, he was very good and very intelligent, has taken note of the players he had and, with these players he adjusted his formation to fit them.

"I believe this should be what all coaches do, look at the squad and see what is the appropriate formation for the players you have. This, I believe, is the greatest merit of Leonardo."
