AC Milan chief Adriano Galliani has defended offloading Alessandro Matri last week.
Matri scored twice in their 3-0 win over Fiorentina.
Galliani said: "He had always scored goals in his career, so it was evident he'd find his form eventually. I have to ask myself whether Matri would've scored two goals tonight if he had played for Milan. Perhaps the change of system, approach and environment shook something up within him. He's a finisher more than anything else."
