AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani says they intend to buy in January.
The Rossoneri are struggling and face Palermo this evening without Alexandre Pato, Gennaro Gattuso, Massimo Ambrosini, Clarence Seedorf, Gianluca Zambrotta, Mathieu Flamini, Mario Yepes and the suspended Kevin-Prince Boateng.
"Starting the season very early for the Italian Super Cup may well have caused us problems, as we're now paying the price for that schedule," Vice-President Galliani told Sky Sport Italia.
"We cannot forget the numerous injuries. They are not alibis for our difficult start, but simply facts.
"It is true we could take advantage of the January transfer window to reinforce the midfield. The attack does not need any adjustments, so Carlos Tevez will not arrive."
