AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani says Leonardo has the full support of the board.
Only a few weeks ago, Leonardo's position was being openly questioned by club owner Silvio Berlusconi, but since then Milan have closed the gap to Inter to four points, aided by the dramatic midweek come-from-behind victory over Fiorentina.
Galliani claimed Berlusconi called him after that match to praise the players and the coach for the manner of the victory.
"The president called me after the match in Florence to say that we have a great goalkeeper," he said. "We have Ronaldinho, a great player. And do you see the confidence is paying off?
"Leo accepted everything, even the most severe criticism. He let the focus fall on him. No matter how we finish the season now I want to see if anyone dares to criticise the choice of Leonardo as coach."
