AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani admits they will seek to buy a new striker in January. Galliani concedes Pippo Inzaghi's knee injury means the need for a new striker is a necessity.
Galliani said: "If there is a chance, a striker will arrive. We are covered in all the other positions.
"If possible we'll find a striker to replace Pippo Inzaghi. Otherwise we'll stay as we are.
"Whoever arrives must be similar to Inzaghi also in terms of characteristics because we need a player like this."
Among those under consideration are Alessandro Matri (Cagliari), Massimo Maccarone (Palermo), Kevin Gameiro (Lorient) and David Trezeguet (Hercules).
