AC Milan chief Adriano Galliani admits they failed with a deadline day bid for Real Madrid midfielder Lassana Diarra.
After a summer of speculation, Diarra has remained with Real.
"We wanted to sign Lassana Diarra at the last minute," Galliani revealed last night.
