AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani feels the club should be praised for turning down PSG's offer for Thiago Silva. Last night, the official club website announced president Silvio Berlusconi had "made the decision" to keep Thiago Silva.
"Thanks to President Berlusconi, I feel much better now," Galliani told Azzurro Italia.
"This was an act of heroism from the President. The money Milan will lose by not making the sale will be pumped back into the club by Berlusconi.
"Will Zlatan Ibrahimovic remain too? Of course he'll remain. We are fully covered in all areas and have a formidable squad."
Today Thiago Silva's agent hinted if he was going to turn down Paris Saint-Germain, then it would require an improved contract.
"We'll see what happens, at the moment Thiago has a contract with us for another four years," added Galliani.
"I repeat, we can say that Thiago Silva will stay at Milan until 2016 and the Rossoneri fans have to thank Berlusconi for this. The heart won over reason."
