Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is ready to offer his emotional captain William Gallas an improved contract.

The Sun says Wenger is offering the 30-year-old a new £90,000-a-week, four-year contract that would take him up until 2012.

His new deal would see Gallas having earned more than £18 million in his time with the Gunners.
