Arsenal defender William Gallas scored a 62nd minute equaliser as France saved their blushes by drawing 1-1 with Tunisia.
The ex-Chelsea man returned to action against Costa Rica on Wednesday following a calf injury and was able to get through just over an hour as Les Bleus limped to a draw with the world number 55-ranked team.
His goal canceled out Issam Jemaa's earlier effort as the French team continue preparations for the World Cup which kicks off in under two weeks.
