Arsenal are likely to be without defender William Gallas for the remainder of the season.

The Frenchman injured his calf in Wednesday night's Champions League clash with Barcelona which ended in a 2-2 draw and it was confirmed by Gunners boss Arsene Wenger that he may miss the rest of the season but should be ok for World Cup selection.

"He pulled his calf muscle and I think it's the end of the season for him," Wenger told Canal+.

"I do not include the World Cup. I think he will be ready for the World Cup."
