After humiliation at Tottenham, captain William Gallas insisted Arsenal must quickly get the result out of the system.

He said: "The whole club is upset but we have to accept what happened and forget it.

"I know it is hard for our fans to lose 5-1 to Tottenham, especially as we had not lost to them for such a long time.

"In the warm-up before the game I told the players to be careful. But we conceded an early goal, lost our calm - and after that everything was no good for us.

"All the young boys wanted to go to Wembley and play in a cup final and now we are all sad because that's not going to happen.

"But we have to learn from our mistakes and focus on beating Newcastle."
