Gallas: Arsenal kids my inspiration

Arsenal captain William Gallas admits the attitude of his young teammates acts as inspiration.

"I feel like I am 20-years-old sometimes, because the atmosphere is so great," said Gallas, 30, speaking at the launch of Sport Relief.

"I really want them to be champions as they deserve it. It's really important that we win something this season."

Arsenal last won the title in 2004, when Wenger's side were unbeaten during the campaign's 38 Premier League games.

"Everyone wants to win at least one trophy this season and all the young players are very focused about what they have to do," added Gallas.

"We know Manchester United are strong, and we know Chelsea are not far behind so it will be difficult for Arsenal to be champions.

"But everyday when I go into training I love to see them play, because they are all so young and enthusiastic.

"I enjoy talking to them and advising them when something is wrong.

"I want them to enjoy every game and I want them to be champions at the end of the season because it is good to be champions when you are young."
