William Gallas' future at Arsenal will be decided at a meeting next week with manager Arsene Wenger.
Wenger will travel to Paris to meet the out-of-contract centre-half to try to thrash out a deal after months of wrangling, says The Sun.
Gallas, 32, has been out injured since the first-leg Champions League match against Barcelona at the end of March.
He is holding out for a two-year deal on the same terms as he is now - believed to be around £90,000 a week.
Although Wenger normally gives players over 30 one-year extensions, he is prepared to make an exception as long as Gallas takes a pay cut.
