Galatasaray attacker Harry Kewell has taken a swipe at his former Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez.
Kewell believes he lost his attacking edge at Liverpool after his controversial move from Leeds United.
"I am a better player than the one who left Liverpool," Kewell told the Mail on Sunday. "Frank Rijkaard encourages players to be creative and take risks when attacking. Rafa was more into his own strict pattern play.
"I never realised until Frank took over at Galatasaray that I had forgotten my natural game of attacking. That's probably why I have been scoring a lot more goals [13 in 25 games last season before his injury].
"At Liverpool it was always drummed into us not to take risks and to play simple, which is fine and it may work for some people, but it's not for me, it's just not my natural game."
