Galatasaray are still eager to close a deal for Real Madrid midfielder Hamit Altintop.

The two parties are haggling over personal terms with Altintop's camp urging Gala to up their €3 million-a-year contract offer by another €500,000-a-year.

More talks are scheduled later this week, though Hamburg have since made contact with the player's agent Reza Fazelli about a counter offer.
