Galatasaray assistant coach Atillio Lombardo is backing Juventus' move for Didier Drogba. Juve are in advanced talks with the Chelsea legend, who comes off contract at Gala next month.

Lombardo told TMW: "Despite his age, he is a competitive player physically. We're talking about an icon, which is extraordinary for a player still fearsome in the penalty area.

"He can make a difference, even in a big club like Juventus."
