Galatasaray want to bring Fiorentina's banned striker Adrian Mutu to Turkey.

The Romania international has been banned for nine months for failing a drugs test this week.

Mutu's agent, Ioan Becali, will be in Istanbul next week to meet with Gala and Fenerbahce officials. Gala are willing to hand Mutu a three-year contract, while Fener also are keen and have indicated to Becali they're prepared to help the player meet the compensation he owes to Chelsea for a previous drugs ban.

Mutu's family, meanwhile, are unhappy with Fiorentina over the lack of assistance they offered in the player's defence over the latest suspension.
