Galatasaray encourage Spurs, Chelsea to bid for Sneijder

Chelsea and Tottenham are being encouraged in their pursuit of Galatasaray midfielder Wesley Sneijder. The Mirror says Blues boss Jose Mourinho has been told he can have a reunion with Sneijder in exchange for £12.75million.

Sneijder is also seen at White Hart Lane as the kind of experienced leader that Andre Villas-Boas' side have lacked in recent seasons.

Galatasaray president Unal Aysal has told the west Londoners that the 29-year-old can go if the price is right. He said: "I have been following the rumours about Sneijder, but we have not received an offer for him..

"If an offer in the region of €15million (£12.75m) comes in, we might decide to sell him though."
