Galatasaray have released a statement denying any approach from Tottenham Hotspur for goalkeeper Fernando Muslera.

Muslera has earned a reputation as one of the best goalkeepers in Europe following his performances for the Turkish giants since joining the club from Lazio back in 2011 and reports had emerged that Premier League side Spurs were keen on signing the Uruguayan international.

However, Galatasaray have gone on to refute claims that they have received any approach for Muslera by releasing the following statement: "No offers have been received from Tottenham Hotspur nor have negotiations taken place for our goalkeeper Fernando Muslera."
