Galatasaray sporting director Bulent Tulun has confirmed Manchester United made an attempt for Wesley Sneijder last month.
Sneijder revealed yesterday he rejected an approach from Liverpool.
Tulun said: "Sneijder received an indirect offer from Manchester United two weeks ago but it was not accepted."
