Fernando Gago insists he's not joined AS Roma to replace Daniele de Rossi.
De Rossi is yet to open new contract talks with Roma.
"We'll see what happens in the future, I'm just here to win a first team shirt," said former Real Madrid midfielder Gago.
"Daniele De Rossi? There won't be any problems. We can co-exist in the same team, I can play anywhere in midfield.
"I had some injury problems last season and it was complicated. However, I played in the Copa America and I'm feeling good."
