Borussia Monchengladbach chief Max Eberl says they're not giving up on keeping Andreas Christensen next season.

The talented Dane has spent the last two seasons on loan from Chelsea - and now they want him permanently.

Antonio Conte has plenty of talent in the heat of defence with Cesar Azpilicueta, David Luiz and Gary Cahill catching the eye this season.

It will be tough for Christensen to break into his side and that might convince the Italian to cash in.

Eberl told the club's annual general meeting: "We are still fighting for Andreas Christensen.

"I have not given up hope."
