Fyvie: Wigan right move for me

Former Aberdeen starlet Fraser Fyvie is pleased with his move to Wigan Athletic.

Fyvie, still only 19, has made two appearances off the bench in Capital One Cup games this season.

But he told the Scottish Sun: "Has it been good to get away from the 'Next Big Thing' tag? Yeah, I think so.

"When you're young and coming through at an SPL club, they big you up a wee bit.

"You sometimes feel a little bit pressurised and you don't play at the level you can, as everyone's staring at you and you're trying to impress.

"I'm not in the limelight as much now, so I'm getting the chance to improve my skills. I'm able to work on things and I'm really enjoying it.

"If a club from the Premier League comes calling you can't say no. People say I left because of money, but it was 100 per cent not that."
