Fraser Fyvie is happy to fight for his place at Wigan Athletic.

The young Scottish midfielder arrived this summer from Aberdeen.

He told the club's official website: "I'm just trying to get my name in with the manager now because I want to be on that team sheet.

"Obviously the other midfielders in the squad have been playing in the Premier League for a few years now and have adapted to the style of football that the manager wants to play.

"They're all top players and some of them are even international players so I need to get myself up to their level to claim a first-team place for myself."
