Future is bleak for relegated QPR - Jenas

Ex-midfielder Jemaine Jenas believes that the situation at Loftus Road looks grim as QPR wait to find out the extent of their breach of Financial Fair Play regulations.

The west London club suffered relegation to the Championship on Sunday and their future in the second tier of English football already looks bleak.

QPR filed accounts in March showing a loss of £9.8million during their last season in the Football League which was reached by writing off loans of £60million - a move that might attract heavy penalties under FFP laws.

Of the possibility of penalties for the relegated R's, Jenas told BBC's 'MOTD2': "The situation is pretty grim.

"It's bleak for QPR as a club and for the fans because no one knows what is going to happen with this fine and if it does come then they will hope the owners stick by the club and soak as much of it up as possible."
