Real Madrid fans are furious with president Florentino Perez for allowing alterations to the club's badge.

It emerged last week that Real had agreed to remove the cross on their badge for merchandise sales in the Middle East.

The decision has angered the local Real support, whom are also furious with Perez's decision to build a luxury hotel inside the Santiago Bernabeu project.

During victory over Real Sociedad, banners could be seen amongst the home crowd protesting both developments.

One read: "Do not touch the stadium and the shield, you must respect the history".
