A furious Mohamed Salah is considering international retirement after a disastrous World Cup for Egypt.
The Liverpool Echo says the Liverpool attacker could quit the national tea, following the World Cup.
Salah is expected to play for Egypt in their final group game against Saudi Arabia on Monday but his long-term future with the national team is uncertain.
Sources in his homeland say that Salah, whose heroics helped Egypt qualify for the World Cup for the first time since 1990, is furious about how he's been used for political gain during the tournament in Russia.
He has been hurt by the criticism he's received after being pictured with controversial Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov, who stands accused of numerous human rights violations.
Salah is also unhappy that he's been dragged into issues beyond football and there is considerable friction with the Egypt FA, who had been locked in an image rights row with his representatives before the tournament.
