West Ham United away fans were unimpressed by co-owner David Sullivan's gesture after their FA Cup defeat at West Bromwich Albion.
The Mirror reports outside the Hawthorns, Sullivan was subjected to venomous abuse when he offered to shake hands and make conversation with disgruntled fans.
Before the final whistle, skipper Kevin Nolan was booed off when he was substituted, only for his replacement Morgan Amalfitano to be sent off for shoving former team-mate Chris Brunt in the face.
Sam Allardyce also copped a torrent of abuse as his team went down 4-0.
