Marton Fulop is delighted with his new Sunderland contract.

Fulop has signed a new three-and-a-half-year contract which will keep him at the club until the summer of 2012.

The Hungary international, who is currently keeping record £9million signing Craig Gordon out of the team, has pledged his future to the Black Cats after impressing in a run which has seen him start 20 of the last 22 games.

Fulop said: "I am delighted to sign. I am pleased with the progress the club has made and I am delighted that I got my chance in the team. I am happy to commit."
