Fulham fullback John Arne Riise says he now jokes with former Liverpool teammate Craig Bellamy over their 'nutter with the putter' incident.

Bellamy will always be remembered for allegedly attacking ex-Liverpool team-mate Riise in 2007.

He was branded "The ­Nutter with a Putter" after supposedly taking a golf-club swing at Riise on a team-­bonding jaunt to Portugal. Fulham ­defender ­Riise, who ­clashes with ­Liverpool star ­Bellamy at Craven Cottage tomorrow night, says the pair soon patched it up.

He said: "We shook hands and settled it very quickly. I came up against him earlier this month when Norway played Wales. We were winding each other up about it all. It's always good to catch up with Bellers.

"Liverpool have signed a great player for nothing."
