Fulham midfielder Danny Murphy admits he had little chance of progress at Tottenham.

"Things didn't work out for me at Tottenham," said Murphy.

"Martin Jol didn't pick me too often. Now I've come here to revive my career.

"We have a squad that is building together, we have got a really good blend of youth and experience and we're confident of doing well.

"With the ability we've got there's no reason why we shouldn't be looking at being in the top half of the table, and if we reach that then why not push on from there?"
