Fulham skipper Danny Murphy believes Aston Villa face a battle to keep hold of Gareth Barry.

After Saturday's 0-0 draw, Murphy said: "I don't know about his contract,' added Murphy, 'but the one thing I do know about him is that he is a quality player.

"The likes of Arsenal and Liverpool are going to be watching him and it's maybe up to Villa to offer him the type of contract he deserves because he is a top player."
