Fulham's Kasami: Fans will decide best goal

Pajtim Kasami has been talking about his wonder goal for Fulham in their win at Crystal Palace.

Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere rated the Swiss' effort better than his against Norwich City on Saturday.

Kasami told the London Evening Standard: "Thanks to Wilshere for saying that. Obviously his goal was also very nice. I will let the people decide.

"I just saw Sascha with the ball on the right side, so I ran into the space, took it nicely with my chest and volleyed it with my right foot. I have never scored a better goal. It was an unbelievable goal and I am very pleased."

Fulham manager Martin Jol said Kasami's goal was better than Marco van Basten's famous volley at Euro 88 and even claimed it was the best goal he has ever seen.

"No," said Kasami. "I am very pleased he said that but Zinedine Zidane against Bayer Leverkusen in the 2002 Champions League Final . . . that was the best goal ever.

"It gives me a lot of confidence but I am still young and I can still improve. It is always nice when we win and you score a nice goal. Now we have won two games in a row we have to keep working hard and getting positive results."
