Dutch striker Collins John feels confident of a big season ahead with Fulham under new gaffer Lawrie Sanchez.
He told fulhamfc.com: "I'm pleased with how pre-season's gone for me. I've played well when I've been involved. I'm not worrying about the goals. It's always nice to get a few goals in pre-season to go into the season with, but last year I had a great pre-season but not a good season. Hopefully it'll be the other way around this year. I've been sharp so it's looking good.
"I haven't set myself targets for this season - I'm just working hard in training and hoping to take my chances when they come around. It'll be a tough opening game against Arsenal and we don't want a repeat of last season. I spoke to Van Persie the other day and he was saying they look sharp and he's been on fire as well so it's going to be a hard game - but we learnt our lesson last year and hopefully we can do well at the Emirates."
