Fulham's Healy: I want to stay

David Healy wants the chance to prove he can cut it at Premiership level - and fire the goals to keep Fulham in the Premiership.

Healy, 28, said: "There are enough games left now for me to play in. The decision rests in Roy's (Hodgson) hands.

"Given the opportunities at Fulham, hopefully I could score the goals that could keep us up. I have to be fit and ready when the call comes."

He added: "It's disappointing not to be playing at club level.

"I don't feel like I've been out of my depth - for whatever reason I just haven't got the breaks.

"I still seem to be scoring in training. In training I am a little bit more greedy. Sometimes you get your greedy head on and don't pass to anyone."

Healy also said: "There was talk of a possible loan move two or three weeks ago. Before it even got to me asking him, Roy said 'no'.

"I want to stay here and be a part of this - be it good or bad.

"Fulham gave me the opportunity and I don't want to be jumping ship. I want to be part of this and be a part of helping the team stay up."
