Fulham midfielder Dickson Etuhu has no regrets leaving Manchester City as a youngster.
He said: "I spent four years at City and lived with Shaun (Wright-Phillips) during that time. He's still my closest mate in football.
"We played for a Sunday team called Ten-Em-Bee when we were boys in south London.
"Shaun's brother, Bradley, also played for them and his dad Ian started there as well.
"When Shaun went to City, I followed him. I played the season the club won promotion from the Championship. I got a medal and everything.
"I didn't have to leave but it didn't work out with Keegan. They wanted me to stay and offered me a new deal but it wasn't right.
"I had the chance to go to Preston and work with David Moyes, who is a great manager and knew everything about me.
"It was a good decision to go to Preston as Moyes improved me. But then he left for Everton and though I had a couple of chances to join him there, the clubs could never agree a deal."
