Fulham midfielder Robert Milsom was delighted to make his Premiership debut at Manchester United this week.
"I wasn't really nervous," revealed Milsom to fulhamfc.com. "I just wanted to do the best that I could for myself in the short space of time I was on the pitch. They're a great side with players like Paul Scholes who was running the show. To play against him was great.
"It was great to make my debut at Old Trafford. I can't say I was expecting it but it was a great opportunity to play there. The manager said what he normally says to the subs; to keep ourselves warm and be ready to come on but he didn't say anything specific to me."
Milsom's parents were in the stands at Old Trafford on Wednesday evening and whilst the midfielder admitted, "they weren't expecting me to come on," their pride was evident after the final whistle. "I saw my Mum after the game and she was over the moon."
