Fulham youngster Grimmer gets Scotland clearance

Fulham youngster Jack Grimmer has been given the all-clear to play for Scotland U19.

The Fulham kid had applied to renew his papers but was still waiting for them as he joined up with Ricky Sbragia's side.

With UEFA's 8pm cut-off looming Grimmer, 18, was rushed to the Glasgow passport office yesterday afternoon to hurry things along and will now face Armenia, Romania and Switzerland this week.

Boss Sbragia said: "We'd been waiting for Jack to get his passport sorted. He'd sent it away but hadn't received it.

"It meant he had no documentation on receipt so we had to get him to the passport office.

"He had other ID but he needed more than that for UEFA.

"Thankfully the passport office had a passport waiting for him but he had to go and pick it up."
