Fulham won't consider Davis sale

Steven Davis' hopes of a permanent move to Rangers have been dashed after Fulham boss Roy Hodgson revealed he wants to keep the midfielder.

Davis moved to the SPL on loan until the end of the season during the January transfer window and made his full Rangers debut in the UEFA Cup goalless draw with Panathinaikos on Wednesday night.

The 23-year-old, who has swapped a relegation battle in England for a title push in Scotland, told the Daily Express: "It is a different challenge for me because the boys have done exceptionally well to get us into the position we are in.

"I'm just trying to enjoy my time up here and hopefully win a few trophies.

"I spoke to the Fulham boss [Roy Hodgson] and he said it was a good opportunity to go and play but he wants me back in the summer."
