Fulham winger Dejagah welcomes Meulensteen methods

Fulham winger Ashkan Dejagah has enjoyed his first week working with new manager Rene Meulensteen.

The former Hertha Berlin and Wolfsburg man has backed the changes brought in by new boss Meulensteen and also had kind words for the sacked Martin Jol.

He said: "Every manager has a different style. We worked hard with Martin as well - but the results were not so good.

"But the team has worked hard this week and I think we showed that to the fans against Tottenham.

"The team was ready and I don't believe we lost the game. But the players don't feel we let Jol down. We worked hard for him.

"He was a good manager but sometimes in football you have to change something."
