Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud says the weekend's 3-1 win over Fulham at Craven Cottage showed that the squad is still united.
There was plenty of speculation that Arsene Wenger would finally dip into the North London club's transfer kitty after last weekend's disappointing loss to Aston Villa but Giroud feels the triumph in Southwest London proves there is plenty of quality already at the Emirates Stadium.
"We were really disappointed and we wanted to correct it and dictate the game [at Fulham]," he told the club's official website. "We did it and we are really pleased with that.
"When it doesn't work [on the pitch] people want to talk about new signings. We really wanted to show the squad is together, we wanted to give an answer on the pitch and we did well. We played really well and scored three goals again. We are really confident now."
