Fulham willing to splash out for Man City striker Santa Cruz

Fulham boss Mark Hughes is ready to splash out for Manchester City striker Roque Santa Cruz.

The Daily Mail says Hughes knows a return will be expected on any investments but is confident Santa Cruz can provide the extra firepower needed, if a fee can be agreed with Manchester City.

The Fulham manager has had a positive feedback on Santa Cruz's fitness and also explored the possibility of a short-term loan for LA Galaxy midfielder Landon Donovan.
