Fulham uncertainty will not shift Schwarzer's focus - Osieck

Australian national team boss Holger Osieck does not believe Marl Schwarzer will be fazed next month.

The Socceroos are preparing for vital World Cup qualifiers against Japan, Jordan and Iraq in June with goalkeeper Schwarzer unsure of his future at Fulham.

Despite this, Osieck knows the 40-year old gloveman will give the best account of himself in the Group B fixtures.

"As far as I have known Mark, he will be OK for us, despite any negotiations regarding contracts or whatever," Osieck said.

"I think he will be our true number one. So not our starting number one, with the number on his shirt, but true number one in terms of guidance and in terms of aura to the team and being the backbone of the team.

"I think that he definitely will play his regular role for us."
