Fulham U18 coach Brazil leaves role

Gary Brazil has left Fulham as U18 coach.

The former Whites striker says he has left with a "heavy heart" with the Club's Academy in a "very positive" position.

He told fulhamfc.com: "Kit Symons, who has been a great help over the last 18 months or so, takes over now and he inherits a very, very good group of players. This really is a lovely job for him to take on.

"He's a smashing guy, and having also played for Fulham as well he knows how the Club works. He's a very good coach and works really well with the younger players who have a lot of respect for him. I'm sure he will continue to take this Academy forward, as will the rest of the staff.

"There are some terrific people here who are so committed to the Academy and the Club. The arrival of Huw Jennings two years ago has been a massive plus and, with the backing of Alistair Mackintosh, he has helped take the Academy to a new level. He has been very supportive."
