Fulham striker Zamora priority Liverpool transfer target

Liverpool boss Roy Hodgson wants a winter market deal for Fulham striker Bobby Zamora.

The People says Zamora's current deal runs to 2012 and Hodgson is certain to re-ignite his interest in Zamora in the January transfer window, if he isn't tied to a new one.Fulham had agreed to sell Zamora to Hull for £5million last summer but the player stayed and was instrumental in the run to the Europa League Final.

He won his first England cap against Hungary last month but is out of Fabio Capello's squad for the Bulgaria and Switzerland games through injury.

Zamora, 29, is Hodgson's first choice to bolster Liverpool's forward line - with West Ham's Carlton Cole a fall-back option.
