Fulham striker Trotta appreciated Brentford experience

Fulham striker Marcello Trotta is proud of his efforts at Brentford last season.

In November, he joined npower League One side Brentford in a deal that would eventually last until the end of the season. He scored nine goals during his stint at Griffin Park and feels he has returned to SW6 an improved player.

"It was a very important year for me," Trotta told the official website. "I think last season was a crucial experience in different ways. I think I grew as a man and as a football player.

"Every game was different. We were looking for promotion so there was pressure in every match but the manager [Uwe Rosler] was very good and he encouraged us to never give up. He was a striker, too, as a player so straight away he helped me and taught me some new things."
